A New Kind of Ministry

 

Do you ever feel like God is prompting you to do something greater?

Something with more Kingdom significance? But you put it off assuming that the other pursuits and events in your life are a higher priority. This had been my story for many years, as the nudging had simply been ignored. And along came 2020, with all of its turmoil, fear, and tragedy. The timing seemed right to launch a clothing line of inspiration to the world, as the weight of doing something of significance was too great at that point. I wanted to create a line of clothing with a mighty message and purpose behind it. And Glory Shirts was born.

I unarchived some of the many designs that had been collecting dust over the years and launched the first Glory Shirts website, with a mission statement of being light in a dark and fear driven world. The first shirt design (above) was based on my favorite scripture, which also became the one that got me through a very difficult time in my life. Isaiah 40:31... 

"but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

That feeling of hopelessness was replaced by a lasting and healing hope from the one who supplied it to the full. Knowing Hope means Knowing Him. 

As a designer, I know how powerful a message on a shirt can be to influence, revitalize, build up and encourage. People can't help but read it as they pass by. We can introduce others to the hope that we have simply by wearing a message of truth. Isaiah 52:7 says: "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

Won't you join us? Let's create positive change by showing an example of our faith to the world, both in words and action. Let's bring the focus back to the God of hope, healing and joy. The enemy WILL NOT steal our joy! We can share this message with a world who needs to know that there is a faith that is greater than any fear.
